Frequently Asked Questions
Live Sketch Booth FAQs
How many portraits can you complete?
Each portrait is hand-drawn live, so the exact number depends on the event and portrait types selected. On average, I complete approximately 6–8 individual portraits per hour. Portrait Trios take longer than single portraits, so overall totals may vary.
How much space does the Sketch Booth require?
The booth requires approximately a 6′ × 6′ space to allow room for the booth, guests, and a comfortable flow of traffic. I’ll work with you beforehand to determine the best location within your venue.
Do guests pay individually?
For private events such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate events, the host books the Sketch Booth as part of the entertainment. Guests simply enjoy the experience and take home their original portraits at no additional cost.
Can the Sketch Booth be customized?
Yes! Depending on your event, I can discuss personalized signage, themed elements, or other custom touches to help the Sketch Booth complement your celebration.
Can you draw couples, families, and pets?
Absolutely! I can draw individuals, couples, friends, families, and even pets, depending on the event and available time.
What happens if there is a line?
If demand is high, I work as efficiently as possible while maintaining the quality of each portrait. Because each piece is created by hand, wait times may vary throughout the event.
Can the Sketch Booth be outdoors?
Yes, provided the weather and environment are suitable. Shade and protection from wind or rain may be necessary to ensure the best experience.
Live Painting FAQs
What types of live painting do you offer?
I create live paintings for weddings, galas, fundraisers, music events, corporate gatherings, festivals, and other special occasions. Each painting is tailored to your event and vision.
Do you finish the painting during the event?
Many paintings are substantially completed during the event. Depending on the size and complexity, I may add final details afterward in my studio to ensure the highest quality finished artwork.
How large are the finished paintings?
Canvas sizes vary based on the event and your preferences. We’ll discuss the best size during your consultation.
Can guests watch while you paint?
Absolutely! Watching a painting develop throughout the event is part of the experience, and guests are welcome to observe and enjoy the creative process.
Can you paint outdoors?
Yes, weather permitting. Outdoor events may require shade, protection from rain, or other accommodations depending on the conditions.
Do you only paint weddings?
Not at all! Live painting is available for many types of events, including corporate gatherings, fundraisers, festivals, grand openings, concerts, anniversaries, and private celebrations.
